Ombré hair color has invaded our lives and our catwalks like a bull in a china shop. Unsure as to what you may surface from the salon with if you ask for an Ombré? Well, let me explain; imagine you have just dip dyed the ends of your hair lighter. Like tie dyed clothing; the colour fades into hue graduation, until the ends of your hair bare little resemblance to the roots.

The look has been spotted on an A-list of celeb fashionistas including; Alexa Chung, who tried and tested the trend giving her short bob the ombré fade, Drew Barrymore, who used the trend to enhance her hippy chic look and even Lady Gaga who rocked it with a Walls's poster yellow.

The trend has been blowing in the wind of the catwalk also and has been seen in various shows including Moschino Cheap and Chic.

Thinking it sounds like a bad highlighting job, or what just what you aim to touch up and hide every month? Well that's the beauty of it...it's low maintenance, and who can complain about that?

And to our glee, the trend is spreading like a wild fire as it dips into our wardrobes...
